Paph Barbara Larkin in bud, crossing fingers

I purchased this from Happypaphy7 last year. It has a four year history of budding but blasting. Crossing fingers that we’re past that stage this year. It’s from Windy Hill so I’m anxious to see what it looks like. I was gone for a week on vacation but it’s not showing to be any worse for the neglect. However, I’ve probably now cursed it by posting. At that stage, the buds will be very safe IMO as long as no big temperature swing or water in the semi-open buds. Looking forward to the full open fowers.

Now it could be , “ a watched bud never opens”.

Well, it did it! Bloomed after blasting four years in a row. A little asymmetrical but we’ll see how the next blooms look.

Congrats. Do you also grow pure armeniacum? The major difference is the staminode--shape and markings
