This is a cross of Moustache X Shen Yi Tiger. Very confused multi. The spike wants to grow like a roth spike but the flowers don't want to cooperate! Single growth with 5 flowers.

The color is great on yours. I have one in bllom right now too. Single growth but I only got three flowers. Trade you. LOL

Slippertalk needs a "Like" button because this is hilarious!
I really love those flowers even if they're a little crowded.

That is nice. To overcome overcrowding, next time when the the bud is just showing, put it under less light. It should work to make it grows with longer spike and no bunching. Good luck

Am I the only one worrying about that plant? 5 flowers on a single growth? Isn't that sort of flowering asking for trouble? (never mind how great these flowers look....).

Hopefully it has another growth started. That is a lot for a single growth to support. They are nice big flowers and will probably be arranged better on the next blooming.

I might be concerned enough about the brown spots to unpot it, treat it with a fungicide or hydrogen peroxide, and repot it in fresh mix.

I can do that Dot. The large spot on the left side of the PIC is a "fold" line. Where, when shipping the plant it's "rolled and folded up " in newpaper.

:drool: Looks like one strong growth that would support the blooming.
I'd say the next blooming will be better for flower arrangement as others have said.
