Hi, Im Joanne & new to slipper talk forum, This was recommended by a source when I was looking for paphiopedilum "Joanne's Wine". I'm very much the amature grower. Does anyone know wher I can purchase the paph I'm looking for? THANKS!

Hi Dot, Thank you for responding. I'm not very good at computers & it took me forever in a day to just get to this point. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "the other thread". I did try googling for Joanne's wine & was recommended on to the forum. I had the orchid once but got ill & it died. I've been trying to find it ever since.

It looks like your desired Paph is a Maudiae, or vinicolor type:

It's been used quite a lot in breeding, apparently.

It's parents are Vintner's Treasure x Maudiae, and it was registered by Paphanatics in 1987. Here is their website:

Perhaps you could email Norito Hasagawa ([email protected]) and see if he has any more, or knows where you might find one.
