It is a nice villosum. What is the variety? And what is the multifloral? I have seen so few plants actually in bloom it is nice to try to recognize them from photos. Thanks for providing some practice. :)

Thank you and you're welcome..lol
Villosum is 'Candor L' AM/AOS x Marriotts Colorburst' x sib alba.
Which multi floral?
4th 5th and 7th photos are Michael Koopowitz, (philippinense var album 'Green Tea' AM/AOS x sanderianum 'Holly Nicole' HCC/AOS
6th pic is phrag Nicolle Tower

I was going to say, I recognize that Nicolle Tower ... it looks a lot like the one I grow. Is it one of the ones involving longifolium "Black as Night"? I love these Phrags that produce a cloud of blooms.

Unfortunately all my tag says is Nicolle Tower.
This plant has been amazing for me! Last year first flowering spike had 24 total flowers, it just wouldn't stop!
This year 2 fans spiked one right after the other, 1st flower was out in June! At one point there were 12 flowers out at once on 2 spikes. This pic is what I THOUGHT was the last but found 1 more bud yesterday which will make 34 flowers!! I LOVE this plant, just wish I knew more about its parents

How do you keep your catasetum so happy and thick! Mine just keep shriveling despite watering….not watering, praying to the Gods…cursing the Gods….
I just can’t seem to win!

I cant give much for growing tips cuz full disclosure I bought a growers choice from Hawaii about 3 months ago and it was in the group. I personally wouldnt of nor have ever chose one due to the amount of regime they require...lol
It had 2 spikes that recently lost their flowers so now the slow down to no water regime begins.
I can only hope to do it justice from here on

ah, yes, it was the Michael Koopowitz. Everytime I see a photo of one I think how pretty. The petals just blow my mind.

I was so smitten with a Clowesia (capitalized?) Rebecca Northern in another post that I just bought one. I was wondering if you watered them when blooming even if they are leafless. Yikes, if someone like you, who can produce this "fiesta," finds them daunting, I am in way over my head.

Oh yes the petals on Michael Koopowitz are amazing! Unfortunately mine the way the fans are growing the petals are not able to be displayed in full hanging glory🥺

As far as clowisia in flower I would water LIGHTLY just but I'm not really sure!
Today will be a last dribble for mine just because its really dry.
By all means go to Sunset Valley Orchids website, Fred has a big section on Catasetum and their care and is a wealth of knowledge.
I had one a few years ago from SVO and I apparently watered it too soon as roots were growing and off to plant heaven it went. I emailed Fred a couple of times and he was willing to answer my questions

Awww, good news! Funny, I hate watering my outside pots in the summer. But watering my orchids over the kitchen sink is like meditation. I want to do it way more than they want me to do it. 😂
You just need more inside plants then!! I too dont mind the watering ritual too much even with a stupid amount of orchids! I take a tray to the sink and physically have to move each one so can check on their wellbeing,ie bugs, leaf issues, growth, buds, etc. Its pretty time consuming with 350+ plants.

That’s true! For the life of me, I can’t figure out the right regime. And I think my grow zone doesn’t help at all. We have long, dry winters in the midwestern US.
Good luck with it! 🌺
