my new little monster

i had my heart set on hitting up a few big orchid shows this year, but ended up getting this little guy and my orchid show circuit got put on hold until we get him fully house broken and trained. ziggy is a great pyrenees/poodle mix. first thing he learned was to stay clear of mom's orchid shelf or she turns into a roaring red-eyed monster with smoke and flames shooting out of her nostrils! making good progress with all the training and hope to at least make it to the big orchid show in santa barbara in march 2024.

GP mom was 80lbs and Poodle dad was 55lbs. We are hoping for 60-70lbs adult weight but he has the potential for 100+ with those GP male genes. He's 5 months now and is 40lbs.

thought i'd post a pupdate. ziggy's 80lbs now and is still filling out. he is like a horse compared to all the other doodles. (pic from our sitter with golden and aussie doodles) he's not quite a true giant but is def a big boy. he's big but gentle and is especially fond of the tiny toy dogs because his puppy camp gf was a tiny little chocolate havanese.
