My Paphiopedilums in 2023

Paph. tranlienianum
This is the first one of this section in flower in 2023. Bought is as a young plant in an eBay auction from Hilmar (Jens, i hope you didn't bid in this auction).
I took the photo one day too early, because the undulatad edges of the dorsal aren't completely developed...but today they are. The flower is nice but the colouration could be a bit more intesive...... maybe next time.

Though the plant is more than strong it took two years until I saw her again in flower. Paph. gratrixianum is an 'oldi but goody' which has its apeal too and therefore I won't miss this plant in my collection.

Yeah I need more space. I do have probably 150ish uniflorals if you start counting seedlings but nothing like my multi problem lol

You are right, Herbert ....thank you very much....I could identify it also by the many dots at the base of the leaves. I checked the validity of this name and KEW Science says Paphiopedilum gratrixianum var. christensonianum is an accepted variety.

Jfyi, Rudolf, the new growths take 2 years to mature, no matter how strong the plant. But your plant looks so very well grown and well nurtured, that in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, you should have new growths annually, and thus secure yourself flowering every year as the growths mature bi-annually!

Oh, did I forget to say, that your flowers are very adorable!

This plant is the first P. fairrieanum I bought as a small plant many years ago and is the second P. fairrieanum which blooms in my collection.
