Your plants are wonderful. Knowing that you achieve these results as a windowsill grower is quite inspiring. Moreover, your photos are spectacular. I am so impressed with how the flowers still stand out with the white background.
Thank you for your kind comment. The light background works well with regularly coloured flower but doesn't really work with albas o albinos.

The leafspan is only anbout 49 cm ... not very much for a flowering P. kolopakingii.
That is very compact for kolopakingii...
BTW, how big is your supardii? Online they say the size is from small, medium to large...

Yes it is, Tom ... and that's why I didn't really expect this plant could bloom ... but it can.

My P. supardii is much bigger. It has a leafspan of 85 cm.

Me too, I want to know :) Cheers
I mean I know there are a few nurseries here in Germany, France and Italy, but the offer is nothing like what I'm used to in the US where there are tons!! Completely opposite problems I'm having here.
Just trying to get some more ideas and recommendations. :)

dear Rudolf,
absolutely nice to see one of my babies flowering after such a long time. Mostly I do not see them flowering in my nursery because of sold out...
if possible please could you do a selfing of this plant?
Hilmar

Where do you get Paphiopdedilums in Germany/EU?......:)
HP7 ... I wrote it already in another thread some time before ... Welcome to Germany !
Me too, I want to know :) Cheers
There is no problem to me to tell about the sources of my plants in public ... there are no secrets.
But keep in mind I own some of my plants, not all of course, for many years no (see P. kolopakingii) and not all Paphs are permanently available here in Germany or in the EU .... but I won't recommend one of my sources in public.
- Many of my plants came from Hilmar Asendorfer Orchideen he also sells on eBay Deutschland
- When Boscha Popow ran his buisness I also bought a lot of plants from him, often directly in his nursery.
Since Boscha has been dead Alexej sells plants only on ebay . His prices are in other spheres as they were at Bosha's time.
-Schwerter Orchideen sell many diferent species among them Paphis in their online shop Online shop - Schwerter Orchideen
-Same is with Wichmann Orchideen
-and Hennis Orchideen
- and Großräschener Orchideen
-also Claessen Orchids from the Netherlands
-and Select Orchids also from the Netherlands
-and last but not least Orchids & more
I also bought plants at shows e.g. Dresdner Ostern or others.

Hilmar, how nice that you like it to see your baby flowering now ... btw. the Michael Koopowitz is also from you and came as a young plant with the same shipment as the P. kolopakingii.

Of course I can try it and do you this favour ... hopefully it will work ... but we will see.

Thank you very much!
I have only heard of a few of them. Now I know more. :)
By the way, do you know if any of these nurseries would do a flasking service?
