Nepenthes culture?

Wondering if anyone has tried growing Nepenthes alata in semi-hydroponics?

I’m sure it would be fine, as it’s done well for me in soppy sphagnum.

I've never done semi-hydo for any of my Nepenthes, but I think it would mainly depend on how moist they are. Leca would probably be fine for them.

I saw someone who lives near me grow a nepanthes on a DOOA terra base "non draining clay pot"; it was at the top, and the roots were absorbing water through it (and there were orchids growing on the outside of the pot). This is the pot: https://dooa.jp/en/products/2019/03/terra-base/

Wow! That's a cool idea. Do you know what supported the nepenthes inside the pot?

It was growing at the top. The inside of the pot was always filled with water.

How interesting. I would have liked to see it with the orchids growing on the outside.
