New blog entry - Spiranthes odorata and Ponthieva racemosa

Just did a trip yesterday to an area in central Florida that is host to these two species.

Their foliage is somewhat jewel-orchidish...very sparkly-glossy, albeit an even green color.

Thanx. I picked up a ponthieva in a group of plants and I don't know which one it is!

I don't know how similar P. racemosa leaves are to other Ponthieva species...but at the very least, it should have a basal rosette of leaves.
