Thanks for the advice troy :) I think I'll just bite the bullet and order some MSU from the US. Is that what you use on them yourself?

Alot of people use msu with good results, I personally experiment with different stuff, I'm not a good person to ask advice about fertilizer, read "slipper orchid data sheets", that gives good culture info

eek there was a centipede in the media of my Roth who popped out when I was watering earlier! Do they damage the roots or was he just having a nap in there? He just got a belt of a shoe anyway so he won't be staying in there again

Welcome from South Africa. You need a few plants that will be quicker to bloom. Time to go to a show!

There's one on today and tomorrow but I'm working! These plants are throwing up some weird symptoms so I want to stabilise them before I get any more. They have all started to go yellow and some have weird brown flecks in the leaves so I'm not really sure what's going on. I have ordered some Physan and MSU so hopefully the fertiliser will bring them back around and the Physan will address whatever is up with the leaves. I'll post some pics when I'm home later and hopefully someone will know what's going on.

I would be careful of fertilizing in the short term. Perhaps they were exposed to cold on their way to you. Best solution, go to the show, buy a few plants and use them to set the example for the 'big guns':p

How big is the rothschildianum and are the roots in good shape? If roth is yellow you should look at the roots and see if there is problem.
