Hi, I've been growing orchids for a couple years now, but only recently started growing phrags. So far, they seem to love it here, and I'm enjoying my first blooms. But there is still a lot to learn, and hope find it here!

:clap: Glad you joined ST! Looking forward to seeing your phrags!

Wow, I'm surprised how many warm welcomes I've received...thanks!

In answer to your questions, I've got about 90 orchids that I grow in my small north-facing sunroom. I've got four shelves of lights and grow a variety of relatively small plants...masdevallias, brassavolas, some dens, phals, a couple coelogynes, a few bulbos, and neos. Oh, and some aerangis and angreacums, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting (sorry, 'chids!)

I've got 12 phrags (no paphs, sorry). A couple are near specimen size (Schroederae and Sedenii), a couple NOIDS from my OS raffle table, and some smaller plants (schlimii, Cardinale, Rosy Gem, Apple Pie, Cape Sunset). I got all these plants since about September of last year. They all seem to like my conditions. I just wish they were smaller so I could have more!!!

Here are a couple of blooms:

Phrag Eric Young.jpg Eric Young...I need to get another photo of this one because a second bud just opened today, and I need to catch it before the first bloom drops off.

I'm partial to the pink types, although I got the Grande simply because I had to have those long tails!!

Thanks, Dot! The color faded fairly rapidly, but I did get two blooms from that. What a shock when the first one fell on the floor. I had read that they just drop without warning, but still!

I must confess that I was drooling over your greenhouse thread yesterday, and actually told my husband about your photo booth! What a great idea! I was surprised that you got your GH built in December. You must be enjoying that very much.

I thought I'd share my Eric Young "twins":

Phrag Eric Young twins 1.jpg This is the first time I've had two blooms open at once, and it's got a third bud developing behind it. What fun!
