Newbie here,
I love slipper orchids and have 9-10 slippers. I have mostly Phals. Fairly new to this hobby outside of grocery store phals. I love to learn and grow as a person and as an orchid hobbyists. My dream at the moment is to grow and bloom a Kovatchii Phrag. This forum looks like it has loads of good topics to explore and the place to be for what I love. Happy growing everyone.

Over time, you’ll learn a lot here, that is for sure.
Best advice I can offer is to figure out what conditions you can consistently provide and then grow orchids that will thrive in those conditions. The toughest thing to figure out is light intensity.

Welcome, this forum is truly the mother-lode. Welcome! Just be aware, you might want to separate your slippers and your phals or virus test everything and eliminate any that are positive. Phals are notorious for virus, especially grocery store ones because of the way they are mass produced. (The reason they are cheap). You would not want to spread virus from them to anything you value.
