Which is the better parent...maliopense or jackii. I think the answer is clear with these examples. Armeniacum does little to improve the rather twisted petals of jackii. Still, its convenient that both hybrids are open at once for a direct comparison. Wossner Armenijack grows on you although this one is certainly not judging material.

Are they legal in USA?

They are both potential for better future blooms. I don't think you can say definitively whether one cross is better than another by only looking at two flowers.
