This started blooming in early April and it's still in my kitchen on display. It had 5 inflorescenses with a total of 8 buds/flowers. However, the very high humidity in the greenhouse caused the first flower to get spotty; so, I removed the flower to let the bud behind it take over. Then, as I was reajusting the wire holder, I broke off the bud! So, I just cut off the whole spike and ended up with 4 stems instead of 5 in bloom all at once. I also moved the plant out of the greenhouse and into the house, so that the drier air would help prevent more spotting.

The flowers open a very soft yellow and turn white in about a week and stay that way.

How pretty! I just bought this plant at a members' sale at our OS meeting. The woman said she couldn't get it to bloom. Yours is absolutely beautiful! :D

Thank you very much, everyone. I was very pleased with this one. The plant co-operated pretty well.....except the stem on the far right. It was coming up with the 2 buds facing in the opposite direction. So, I had to use some wire "braces" to guide it as it grew to get the buds turned 180* so that they faced forward.

a testament to your ability to grow this plant! Congratulations... surely deserving of an award!

I know alot of people get tired of this cross as they are becoming more and more common. I personally love this one as well as magic lantern. That is a great looking plant and a quality flower. Good growing.

Me too. I think it is one of the best white Paph hybrids, period and so far the best parvi hybrid.

Wow! That's amazing! What size pot is it in, and how many growths in total?
Keven, it's currently 8 growths including the 5 with spikes this spring. However, last winter I did groom the plant a bit and pull off all the leaves from a few old growths as they were crouding the development of the new growths. It's in a 4 1/2" pot.
