It sure is a floriferous thing. Grows like a weed too. A beautiful compact plant that packs a lot of punch for its small size. Thanks to Roy who sent me this plant.

Now thats a hybrid you never see. When I read the title I didn't imagine it would look so good. Great hybrid with a good flower count for the cross.

Interesting combination, it looks like it pulled out the best out of both parents!

Nice plant David. I don´t like most of spicerianum hybrids, but this plant is an exception, for sure!

That view is shared by a lot of people including those who see it in person. It always takes people by surprise. Me included.

Looks like a big plant. How long have you had it?

Roy sent it to me quite a few years ago - maybe 5 or 6. I really should put dates on orchids. It was a a largish plant when I got it with 5 or 6 growths.

I don't think it is as colourful as it was last year, possibly due to that fact it is flowering much earlier this time. Last year it flowered in winter so the flowers developed over the cooler autumn months. This time it has flowered in late summer and the flowers have developed over the hottest summer this country has ever endured. I have noticed the same thing with my gratrixianum. Cooler weather results in better colour intensity.

I'm also surprised, thats a beautiful hybrid !

Even if this is so, these flowers are still extraordinarily colourful.

Wow David. I'm not generally excited by hybrids, but this is a very attractive flower. Can you get a closeup pic of a single flower?

I do feel honoured. Rick commented on one of my hybrids. :poke:

Sorry it has taken me so long but here you go. I just cropped the first photo. Is this close enough?
