I normally think hybrids with sequentials are a waste of time but this one is outstanding. The dorsal and white pouch are a knockout. This is one of the finest sequential hybrids I have seen.

Thanks, everyone. You know, it's interesting that I put it in an orchid show a couple weeks ago, and it didn't get any ribbons. But I don't know what the competition was.

WHAAAT???? The panel couldn't have been slipper people! (Can you imagine that?). This plant shows the best qualities of both parents without question! Is it better than either parent? YES - why - I'll bet it is easier to bloom than a straight druryii! How many druryii X's are there? Do the stripes in the dorsal & petals show off better because it's not as cuppy - another YES!
The only thing I could say in defense of the judging panel at the show is, compromises are made, sometimes all are in agreement, other times not & the majority doesn't always rule!
