I am hoping a member can help me out. I am looking for a division of a fairieanum that I lost to a winter storm power outage. If you have one or know of one available, please let me know. Since it got imported back to the U.S. I have seen it and its' selfings on the internet, but nothing available that I can find. Thanks, Kanaka John

bump.

John contacted me to see if any of us are familiar with this alba clone. It was awarded a 90 pt FCC in 1975 in southern California. Had 7 fine upright flowers on it at the time. I figure maybe one of the breeders are familiar with it & maybe have a piece.

Fingers crossed

John says this was also sold as 'Shaffer' in Japan - according to Dr Tanaka.

Yeaaa...no. I just looked up 'Shaffer' or 'Shaffer's' and the award description on Shaffer is for a regular colored type, not an album. So the search goes on.

Way back in 2004 I bought a cross of (Candor II x fma album 'Hagee's FCC/AOS) from Antec. It bloomed for me and then I killed it. Antec is the only place I have heard of it.

Hi gang, thanks for all your searching. So far none or the commercial breders say they have a division. Antec had it but they now breed horses and willnot respond to any emails, don't know who got their collection, but the buyer probably got it - whom ever. Another direction to hunt. Might anyone know where antec's collection went? Thanks again for all your help.

I think Chad is referring to Leo Schordje. You can send him a Private Message through Slippertalk. Bob Wellenstein occasionally posted here in the early days (last visit in 2011) and still has an account, here. You can also try contacting him with a PM. Go to "Members List" in the bar at the top of the forum page and look alphabetically for "Leo Schordje" and "Bob Wellenstein". Good Luck!

Sorry John. I should have been more specific. I did send you a PM later that day. If you did not get it, please send me an email. You can link to it through my profile. I'm not sure if I can help with you search, but I will certainly look around for you.

I don't know. I don't have a division myself, and have not heard of anyone having divisions in the area for some time now. I will ask a certain person as I make my rounds of the Chicagoland Orchid Festival. Today.
