This is the first of this cross to bloom. It was made by Clinton Lewis of Orchid Dynasty in Utah. The concolor fma striatum was a very unusual color and I managed to acquire a division of it for myself.

I have the only surviving seedlings from this cross so when the first one bloomed and I sent the photo to the hybridizer he named it after me... humbled!
The second of this hybrid, now named Paphiopedilum Fred Allen, has bloomed and it’s quite different from the first.

Well that’s different! Not sure that it would be in my top ten brachy hybrids…

In love with the concolor striatum parent. Completely. The brown offspring, I cannot deny that it’s a revelation.
