Currently flowering. I thought I was going to lose this plant. It was going backwards and I was down to a single growth. I put it in more shade and it seems to have stabilised. It is growing much better now. Would have been a shame to lose it as it is a nice clone.

A good save David. All Cochlo's need a lot of shades. Just like the kalinae.

Thanks Howard. I have the Kalinae sitting next to the glaucophyllum. So hopefully the light is right. I learnt the hard way with the Cochlo's. I lost another previously. I was struggling to grow them and everyone else was saying they were easy. A lot of shade as you say.

From my experience, unhappy cochlos are very slow growing and highly prone to scales. :( I'm still finding the correct spot for them in my collection. Unsure whether to put them with barbatas or multis.

I was growing them around my multis but moved them to an area with light closer to that for the barbatas. They seem to have preferred that.

Not for me!

I don't have them with my multis, nor in the shade, mine are in between, grow well & flower.
