i much prefer the bolder colors and slightly higher flower count on lowii, however no collection is complete without a haynaldianum. i think we gave an AM to one of the haynaldianums at TIOS last year-it was the most highly colored individual ive ever seen.

I agree. You have to have one (I have 2 in bud at the moment) but it is a poor cousin to lowii.

A nicely colored clone like yours Pete IMO can hold its own aganist many a lowii. Many lowiis can be down right crappy, we just don't get to see them! I do admit, lowiis have a jump on haynaldianums in line breeding but it appears that's about to change.
 
justin, small plant. maybe 8-10" leaf span. leaves seem to be more upright floppy before they go horizontal floppy so it doesnt take up a ton of space
