Hi this is my plant which I bought as
helenae X sanderianum.

But I think it is Helenae X spicerianum

Definitely.

BTW: I can´t imagine helenae x sanderianum. This is as... Irish Wolfhound x Chihuahua

this is why i bought it, sounded so crazy and I needed one.

the question on delenatii X sanderianum brought me on this idea, and I found this.

I now have pollinated 2 delenatii and a armeniacum with sanderianum from a very dark one A friend has, with wild origin

Does anyone else think it looms like tranlienianum x helenae? I do. Not all the tranlienianum are dark, some have light color. Spicerianum usually shows some green in the hybrids, this does not. Look at tranlienianum staminod. Then look back at this picture.

I agree, also especially when looking at the petals.

My monitor must be showing me a very different image than some are seeing, if they see no green. This looks exactly as I would expect for Paph Hengduan Sweetheart (helenae x spicerieanum) though I have never seen a picture. It does not look like the one picture I can find of Paph Vinci (helenae x tranlienianum).

The Tranlimeninum X spicerianum I have seen a lot and nearly all look the same.
The plant is different and the flower too.
will take a pic later. and all of the once of this one I have seen was unifor too, all the same color and form and shape.
pouch is liek the one from my helenae.

here now the comprison pics
left tranl, the the 2 tranX spicerianum right the helenae X spicerianum

As you cannot see the leaves from this hybrid are nearly hard and the others are softer then tran liek spicerianum leaves. I have no spicerianum anymore so cannot put it in for the few.
Flowers compared the petals are fully different as you can see and not typical tran influeced

Here I found a pic from Mr. Perner showing his Hengduan Sweetheart

This is the original picture from Mr Perner. which he has in his offers List

You are right Christoph, absolutely, this IS helenae x spicerianum!

This flower shows exactly the features that spicerianum shows in its primaries:
- a pure white dorsal with a red line in the middle and a greenish base
- a dark red line in the patals
- a very soft pale red on the staminode.
- You can evan see the wavy edges of the staminode - a typical heritage of spicerianum.
- Tranlienianum and helenae show a kind of nub in the center of their staminodes so this flower should have it too (if it was helenae x tranlienianum), but this flower don't!
Btw, the helenae parent is without a doubt.

I seen a couple of month ago on ebay, from deutsche seller an hybrid helenae x sanderianum like your. have you bought it on ebay? is it the same ?.
anyway no bad flower , of course the influence from sanderianum plant is nothing.
congrats,Anna

Was at the sellers place and another vendor was there too.
He has them now as unknown as he cannot say for sure what it is all his one looked the same, and I got a refound from him.

we think it could be the cross I say.

No idea about insine sanderea not seen many crsosses with it.
Got a bad compt some weeks ago with micranthum X ing sanderae label so lets wait and see.
