It's a big plant.

I just saw this plant this afternoon and it is even nicer in person than it is in the photos. The pouch is actually much darker than the photo shows.
Did you use a flash Naoki?
Glad you posted it as it's a nice one.

Craig, yeah, I think the flash automatically came on. Those pictures were taken a week or two ago.

BTW, thank you for a lil Neo. It is potted with a moss mound already. :D

Hopefully that is another spike starting....or maybe I should hope for a baby neo. The one I kept has a baby for sure and I noticed a little bit ago, either another baby or spike as well. The babys start off pretty dark before any green shows from the leaves so it's very hard to tell for a while.

In addition to all the other wonderful characteristics of this hybrid, you just gotta love those bright red Paph. Lady Isabel pouches!

The tag says, (rothschildianum 'Bion' FCC/AOS x stonei 'Bion' HCC/AOS). Is it what you are looking for, Raymond?

Hmmm. Sounds like maybe John Hanes might have made the cross. That would have been some time ago. Or.. perhaps someone who was just lucky enough to have divisions of John's plants made the cross.

Thank you all. As a matter of fact, this is the 2nd time in bloom this year. The picture of my Avatar is the first flower. This time the spetals are kind of droopy.

Since you guys gave me so many compliments, I decided to keep this plant for now. I tried to sell it at $50 at the local orchid show in May, but nobody cared. :sob:

Now why would want to go and do that? You should always give a plant a 2nd shot at blooming if it's got potiental. This flower is very unique in it's stance as well as, it's color. This is the first I've seen a LI with short, down swept petals. This is nice.

I love, love, love it! Plus I am quite excited as I happen to have a plant of this exact cross in my collection. It should bloom within the next couple years and now I am really looking forward to seeing the flowers!

PS....I would keep it!
