A plant from Don, so I named it after him.

on a two growth plant. Don has yet to bloom his piece:p

Poor Don. Isn't that the way it always goes? It's like when a major league team trades a losing pitcher who goes on the next season with a new team to win the Cy Young award. You can have a plant on your bench for 10 years that never flowers and as soon as you give someone a division they're back in six months with something as nice as this.

I agree Scott but it could be as simple as Don being a Catt man.....poor Don:sob:

Its in a 3 inch aircone. What is mess'in with your head Eric? The first was taken with out much light. The second I had to use the flash.

Nice compact plant. Poor Don. I wouldn't have thought this species would be that tricky to flower.
I don't think Don was giving the plant the correct light intensity. Its not easy to see but in the first picture the last two or so leaves are shorter then the rest of the fans just before the bloom leaf came up. I'm betting on the new fans for next blooming will be half the size or smaller then these current fans.

He clearly puts more energy into his Cattleyas then his slippers.

It is funny as I would have thought phillipinense and Catteya's would have had similar light requirements.
