Incredible!!!
Please post some more pics, when the flower has completely opened!

:drool:Fabulous bloom- the darkest I've seen! Congrats on breeding this incredible beauty!!

Holy cow, I'm deeply impressed by this dark colouration.
But what about the name - as far as I know var. leucochilum differs from godefroyae by its pure white pouch. But there are spots on the pouch of this one...

I brought this up somewhere else and didn't get much input from the experts, but, yeah, as far as i know (FWIW), leucochilums should have spotless pouches. Tells me there's more than leucochilum in the pool with this guy. In my opinion, godefroyae and leucochilum (whatever rank one gives it) are the best brachys for saturating color.

I want to see pictures once it's opened all the way. Yeah, the color looks fabulous, but if the flower stays like that way (super cupped), it's quite pointless IMO. Current brachy trend is to breed for taller, strong, self-supporting stems too, which is possibly lacking here (note how wired up it is). A good godefroyae/leuco can have a strong stem of decent length at least getting it off the leaves.

Don't get me wrong, I love the color, but will wait to cast my vote until I see the whole package. But from what I'm seeing here, it's a stepping stone clone. Has the color, now need to breed with it to get stem length and strength plus open form (big steps!).

Let's see this puppy in a week or two....

Very nice, I like the colour... :)

Ernie, I think he is from Thailand. Paphs entered in shows there are allowed to be staked. I have seen many pics of amazing brachys, but with quite weak stems. I suppose the judging system there does not penalize for this trait. Someone once mentioned; why even bother penalizing for a weak stem if you are not breeding for a cut flower and you can stake the spike up..?

Thank you for all praises and comments.
I am house of paphiopedilum located in Nakorn Pathom province, Thailand.
I think that leucochilums shoulds have spotless pouch, but in the native they have boths of spotless and spot pouch. Noticeably, spot pouch leucochilums are different from godefroyae.
I agree with you, Ernie. In my brachy breeding lines I have concentrated in spike, easy to grow as much as flower quality. TPD008 was breeded from very good and good (flat, tall, strong) spike leuco as photo, but this clone is so cup although it's in the 5th day and have short spike. However, I hope it will get better in the next bloom.
