How long did it take from the first sign of emerging sheath to now? Mine is finally (but oh so slowly, of course!) starting to open the bud after seven months wait!

I wonder if the albums take longer?

Interesting: I think of the smell as 'antique raspberry' or 'raspberry potpourri'. Raspberry plus something else.

Thank you. So it took about the same as mine. I love the species but I wish the wait was not so long. Is this flower fragrant? I've never had any fragrant malipoense so far, and I've bloomed a few.

A nice smell though I'm not sure it's raspberries.
