I got this in a trade about a year ago. I'm really enjoying it right now! 'Love this species!

Two flowers....staggered.....one at a time about 3 weeks apart.

That is stunning John. The flower size relative to the size of the plant is incredible. You sure get a bang for your buck. I have had a micrathum for more than 10 years now. it has never grown a mm.

Nice I have the same division but it didn't bloom like this colour though the shape is pretty spot on. Glad they are capable of this colour if given cool treatment.

Thanks!

David, I've got a few like that too! 'Haven't seen them bloom for years 'n years!

Yes, I grew this cool. It's right in the back of the greenhouse, where it's quite cold at night in winter; but, where it gets good, bright light. I watered less often too; but, I never let it dry out. It got lots of foliar misting as the buds came up. So many people say "DON'T GET THE BUDS WET!"; but, I always get the buds wet and I never have blasted buds. I think lack of water (resting the plants too much), is worse than plenty of it.
