Thank you everyone. I like the compact growth of this plant. It's hard to believe that I had this as a small seedling from Oak Hill Gardens back in April 1999. I haven't repotted it at least 10 years in fine bark. In the last 5 years this plant gets more attention and it has been doing better, flowering regularly. I will plan to repot it after flowering.

Beautiful flower and plant, but it took more than 15 years to get to this size? Do old growths die off? Wow, I guess the super slow growth of mine is normal... Great job growing this one for so long!

Yes some old growth died back. But initially it was very slow growing. I kept it alive this long because I didn't overwater. If anything it was underwater. It first bloomed about 7 years ago. Since it bloom almost every year. In a way I think it's happier for not getting disturbed. But I know it needs a larger pot to grow better.

I love the leaves more as well.
Wow~ ten years in the same mix! That must be the secret, everyone! haha
I thought these like to throw stolons, but it looks like it's growing like a "normal" paph in this tiny pot. Well, you might find some dead stolons inside when you take the plant out. lol

How cool do you keep this thing in the winter?
I have yet to try micranthum (not sure ever will haha) but I have lots of its hybrids and I love their leaves. Many of them are indistinguishable so I'd better make sure the tags are never lost. lol

and your thumbnail picture of armeniacum, is it or is it a hybrid?
and how do you keep them in the winter?

This is growing with phals - so winter temperature is about 65F. It's placed next to coolpad so it could be cooler in the low 60sF.

My thumbnail picture is Paph armeniacum. I can bloom this species but not very well yet. We will see how I do next spring.
