There's not much pigmentation on the foliage. Could this have got a dose of moquetianum way back when?

There are some big round dorsal yellow primulinums. Maybe its showing some genes going to some of the yellow forms.

The bloom's form is bravo! The color of which is lovely too. To my view, a bit (just a bit) similar to moquetteanum.

Given that Paph Pinocchio is everywhere, and some of those Pinocchio are actually Cloud's Prime Crystal (if you accept moquetteanum as a species), and the number of times Pinnochio has been back-crossed to primulinum, and further line-breeding in that gene pool, and the haphazard labeling of some growers, I can say with some confidence that we're looking at a Cochlopetalum.

This states very well what probably crossed many readers' minds. It's not easy to be certain about much beyond the section with these cochlos and others such as charlesworthii, spicerianum, leucochilum and many, many other super line-bred species. There are many cases of haphazard labeling, but I suspect others are quite deliberate.
