Of course, a selfing will be often very similar to its mother plant.

For me, this one is a little less colored than the "Roth's plant" and the petals less horizontal.
But maybe I have too much imagination! Or maybe is it just the difference in culture method.

I ask just the question. Roth, do you have an idea about this plant?
 
To me they are the same until proved otherwise. I agree the colors are less intense then in Xavier's division but you know Xavier has some complicated feeding programs going on. The color differences could be a simple matter of blooming temperatures. The cooler grown, the more color intensities bloomed.
 
Beautiful, well done. I like that the background is so close to white, it really makes the stripes stand out. Some roths have a background that is yellow, which makes for a darker, less bold flower. MM is really a fine roth.

As for other photos, photoshop, or any image processing, can shift colors somewhat, intentionally or accidentally. So when looking at a computer screen, I always remember that things may look quite different in person.
