Not exactly award material but I like it! Not a bad purchase for only R50 ($6.25). Given that it has had a tough time in bud (having been moved from what is probably good growing conditions to the plant sale table and then to my less than perfect conditions) I'm hoping for better in the future. It doesn't seem to be a strong grower. It has 2 growths (1 lead). A 3rd just disintegrated (last year's flowering growth). I hope it begins to clump in the future. If it were a stronger grower I might consider putting some pollen on this flower to round it out. I think concolor would be very interesting as it turns complex paphs orange. It could bring the primulinum colour out in the pouch: pink pouch, peach petals.

Nice enough Tyrone. It takes on more of a Maudiae look then a complex. Breed back to that look would be another option.

Yes, the dorsal is very Maudiae like, and it may prove interesting bred in that direction.

FYI: the cross is primulinum x Silvara. Silvara is Sungrove x F.C. Puddle so I'm very interested in this plant for the white genetics. But the primulinum genetics is also interesting. I have a Leeanum (large clone) coming into flower and Paph Lemonade is quite interesting... Maybe something similar to Lemonade could be produced but which is both flatter with more pastel color? More importantly, my Leeanum is a very good grower.

An update:

You can see it has turned yellow. It is lovely, I wish I could have bought two. I'm going to put some pollen from it onto my Leeanum and hope to increase the vigour but keep the color. Finding that special plant will mean raising LOTS of seedlings but I think its worth it.
