I absolutely adore suk.. But 'grows like a weed' as often claimed? I wish...

This one is not a vigorous grower either. It has been a bit of a battle. I think it last flowered 3 years ago. I certainly wouldn't call it an easy plant to grow.

My experiences are similar. No doubt your P. suk is above average, good shape and colouration and your photo shows this very good.

I got one from Ernie last summer, it's in spike & I've had no troubles growing it.
