This is the second blooming for this plant that I got from Orchids Limited about 5 or so years ago. I have some seedlings from a selfing of the first blooming, and another plant from Fox Valley might (???) get to be a first time bloomer this year. This is one of the most vigorous species in my collection, just about keeping up with my lowii and philippinense! I think the color and shape are really nice this time.

Love it!  What is the leaf span? I think my plant has a couple more years to go but I am interested in how big yours is to compare.

Really not that big. 20" - 22". My NBS FV plant is now 3 growths, but the 1st growth was about 18 or so inches when it started adding growths last year. Actually the leaves curl upward so the span is a bit smaller than what you'd expect if they laid out flat like other multi's.

Congrats Rick, a flowering P. supardii is always a great sight and yours in particularly.

Best regards from Germany, rudolf

Super job Rick, very nice flowers on your clone. I'm guessing this plant is not as slow as molasses in January!(like mine)

I think its pretty quick actually Rick. It put up two growths a little over a year ago, one of which is the bloomer.

I found it likes less light and cooler temps than roth and lowii, but more than sanderianum. It was kind of slow until I figured this out.
