A double tigrinum.. not bad. Could have been even better. It had 4 buds. One blasted and one is still waiting for "take-off".
Plant grows like weed. One of my fastest growing plants... and I don't mind :)

Not bad he, he don't understate - that's lovely, gorgeous, majestic - don't know what to say more
And ...grows like weed...obviously is contrary to experiences of many Paph growers who regard P. tigrinum as difficult to grow.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! That is lovely! It's a great clone with wonderful colour and form. Plus, it's so nice to see a vigorous plant like that. You inspire me to keep my hopes up for my plant. It's a nice clone too and I have done okay with it......until this past spring, when it lost it's roots. Now, it is in "hospital". I hope it survives. I want it to look as nice as yours one day.

I don't know Rudolf, have you ever tried to grow weed before I hear you can smoke it after it drys!:poke:

Great tigrinum Ayreon!

I don't think anyone has said that tigrinum is hard to grow...some people find it hard to bloom, but its really easy to grow. The main problem is that its too damn expensive! After 20+ years of legal worldwide growth, it should be a much more available plant. Basically, it's a difficult plant to purchase!

Great plant!

I think the expense comes because it is still not easy to propagate from seed.

I agree with you Eric, We are experiencing the same situation here in Europe, they are as cheaper as a P. roth. However I'd like to buy one at a reasonable price because it is a very nice plant.

Please tell us how you grow it.

Nothing spectacular. I grow it under tubes all year around. A little bit on the warmer side together with my multis. Rain water when it's available. A light feed every watering.
