nip the second bud early and have one well displayed bigger flower.

Might be simpler. The reality is that neither of these species are true multi-florals hence the poor presentation. It is probably compounded by the bellatulum influence of short spikes.

Well I must say, you photograph it the only way possible then because it kicks bu&& in your picture! Next year wire the second bud in the opposite direction from the first. I know, its cheating but do it! (PS don't forget to remove the wire before showing it off:wink:)

I generally like to see both flowers from the one direction but your suggestion may be the best approach. At least they shouldn't get in each others way.

from David as usual beautiful flower and plant, one of my favorite species.
congrats,anna

I agree with others, that's one of the nicest VMP, not that I've seen a lot, the shape is excellent!:drool::drool:

if one were going to take it to judging, is this an option? I wouldn't think so but you're in Australia.

Not at this time of year.

I like the pot. Where did you get it and what is it? I also love this cross.

It is just a hollow log. I'm not sure of the wood type. It is not a Eucalypt. The plant itself is not growing in the log. I just put the pot inside. You could grow things inside though as it has drainage holes.
