I'm really uncertain about the clonal name, since it seems rather weird to me to give a NoID a such? I've asked the vendor if it's possible to dig up an ID for it, but for now it's a NoID Vinicolor, and a very pretty one to boot. :D

I couldn't resist this guy with its dark, vine red flower and its dark and mottled foliage (yeah, I have NO self discipline when it comes to Paphs, I know...).

And it feels great to buy a Paph that's in blooming size for once. This guy has four fans, of which two are in spike or bloom.

The entire plant before repotting:

And after repotting where it was moved to a smaller pot that was more fitting to its roots system (I put the old pot next to it, just so you can see the size difference. Also, the sun had escaped after I was done repotting it, so the light sucks.):

very nice colour and regardless of what others might say, I like the posture of the flower :D (rock & wavy...!)

Haha! Thanks! It definitely is rocky and wavy, looks a bit like it's trying to look cool. ;)

Kind of wonky!
Yup, it's a wonky one. It wasn't as wonky before it was shipped to me (the dorsal was flat then as far as I could tell), so some of it happened during transport.

Still, I love the colour and the glossy texture of it!

Hi Mutant, is this purchase after the "No more orchids for me" thread that you just made :rollhappy:

But to be honest, we are proud of you. I myself purchased a new division. Will arrive next week.

Yup, it is. :D

And after I wrote that, not only did I buy this guy, but I also purchased a Dtps. Tzu Chiang Balm, a Phal. Linda Cheok, and a Phal. equestris 'Fairy Tales'. As I've written before, I have no self discipline when it comes to orchids! :rollhappy:

BTW, could this be a Paph. Raisin Jack x Gloriosum x Maudiae f. vinicolor x charlesworthii? I don't think it's only a Maudiae Vinicolor, there's something more in it. It seems to be either multiflora or a sequential bloomer too, if it helps. I would love to have an ID on it.

It will never happen. Sorry.

You know what! It actually looks nice! Next flowering with better shape should make it a wonderful addition to your coffee table during the dull winter months ahead!

It's okay and I know. I'll just hound the vendor till he coughs up where he bought it from and then I can harass THEM until they spit it out. ;)

Yup, I think it might have potential (not award potential or anything like that, but me-loving-it potential) considering this is its first flower. It has a second spike, as you can see, an a second bud on the first spike as well. It's going to be interesting to see what the following flowers will look like. And I have something nice to look at while I wait for my wardii and venustum to do their thing. :D

Looks like it is a charlesworthii x vini type cross. Love the color.
Yup, my thought exactly. The vendor thought it was pure Maudiae, but I believe it there's some charlesworthii in it too. Maybe I might get an ID out of it yet. :)
