Second flower has opened. I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures. I thought the light was good, but apparently it wasn't and the focus is so-so. I'll try to take some better pictures later on, but sunlight is rather scarce at the moment.

The shape of flower number two is not as wonky as on the first one (despite it being squashed together with its larger sibling), but it's quite a bit smaller. I Totally love the colour though.

Ha! Found it. I promised a better picture of the second flower and I took it and promptly forgot about it.

Dot and I seem to agree: I like the second photo with the
shadow as well. The solid dark red is wonderful. Wouldn't it be nice if you could get Pelle to pose behind the plant...

Thanks guys! I can't get enough of this Paph, and I really hope the vendor will be able to get a hold of the ID (he'll try to he told me). On the other hand, ID or not doesn't make me like it any less, so if it'll continue being a NoID, it's still a keeper. Love the colour and it really is the same as on black cherries! Didn't think about that.

Dot and abax: The second picture is perfectly okay, it was the close up which isn't a close up, that I wasn't satisfied with. I also like the faint shadow on the wall, but I think it's too dark now to be able to arrange a similar picture (although I promise you that Pelle would be up for it and the only risk involved would be him cuddling with the Paph). The sun is very low in the sky now, so there's a lot of interfering shadows on the wall if I take pictures (hurra for the Swedish late autumn).
