Really lovely - and the plant is so well grown that that a wide screen photo is necessary to picture it completely !!

Best regards from Germany, GuRu

Oooh, aahh. What's the clonal name Wacousta? Is it where you live?
That's correct. Wacousta is a tiny little town, too small for a post office, even. So that's not my address. But I decided to honor it when my plants get awards.

Beautiful Dot! What is your culture media made of?
My Paphs and Phrags are in a mix of coconut chips, diatomite and sponge rock. I use the MSU fertilizer with/for rain water.

That's spectacular, Dot! Well done! 3 flowers on one stem is very good too. This is a HAPPY plant!
Actually, one of the reasons it got an award is that one stem had three flowers and a bud on it. By the time I got to photographing it, one of those flowers had fallen off. I was told that the plant might have received a higher award, but the leaves were a little "rough." I was surprised that it was given any award -- last Fall, I covered my Paph shade house with heavy plastic one night when it was supposed to frost/freeze. The sun came out very strong the next day and heated up the shade house to almost oven temperatures before I went out to take off the plastic. Most of the plants on the upper shelves were baked, and it's amazing that most of them are coming back. That said, I don't recommend cooking your plants in order to get an award!!!

Leo, I'll put your name on a tag in the plant. It won't be divided for awhile, though.

Thanks, everyone!
