Paphiopedilum godefroyae

I was searching for Paphiopedilum godefroyae var leucochilum and came across this almost all red one! Really like it. Mine had all bloomed with red dots, patches, or webbings but I have not seen one like this (until now)! Need a selfing on this red one!

I think this one would be considered "black" by breeders. It would be interesting to see, if this were crossed onto a good yellow concolor, if it would then be bright red instead of this dark maroon.

Eric, you nut! I don't know about these solid red ones. Some would say their genes are contaminated with other species to get this spreading effect.
