On the henry from us? Cool. I checked those we kept from that cross and no spikes yet. Henrys usually bloom in fall here ~Oct.

'Hsinying' x 'Bear' SM/TPS Yeah thats the one. the first growth looks real nice and juicy, the new growth has been developing nicely and seemed to be set/mature. then, all of a sudden, something was stirring in the heart of the mature growth, a spike, does that sound spikey for a henry? or could it decide to put another leaf up after the growth seemingly matured?

Sounds promising to me. If you see color (red/purple) on the new thing while it is still small, it's probably a spike. Keep your fingers crossed...

I agree, one of my favorite Paph species. The spots on this one almost look pure black!!

the suspected bud came out a leaf, but there's a real spike right behind it, I'm so excited.
