I bought this plant almost 1 year ago and the seller (Hilmar of Asendorfer Orchideen) told me it would be a division. So it's flowering in my collection for the very first time. I like it very much and I hope, you will enjoy it, too.

Very nice, as is the Acer behind it....
If your friend is a true friend, he/she/they would provide you with one of the plants of that dozen! Alternatively with a division, when one of the plants is strong enough for that!I got a dozen for a friend but not any for me. Still regret it!
Unfortunately I was asked to buy them because he was in business and he sold them all in a very short time). Now he retired and moved to Lanzarote ( canarias islands). No more orchids for him! But I do not give up and keep on searching. If your friend is a true friend, he/she/they would provide you with one of the plants of that dozen! What a pity! I would have thought, that the climate on the Canary Islands would proove ideal for growing tropical orchids! Now he retired and moved to Lanzarote ( canarias islands). No more orchids for him!
Never been there but I guess It should be quite dry and windy. Think an evaporative cooler Is a must but Is there enough water? Seen some shots of the Island very little vegetation. What a pity!
