Got it in 2014.... Very slow grower. It is now really blooming for the first time, but its first bud bladed last year or 2 years ago.Bought a flask of these. Now I know what I'll see in a few years! How long have you had this?
I agree....great colour. Pity the leuco didnt fix the floppy petals.
If you look at the history of primary crosses, this is to be expected. The next step is to back cross onto the superior parent likely leucochilum , to fix the form problems and hopefully come up with a good result. Perhaps flatter petals and a wider dorsal.First bloomingView attachment 34755

Absolutely agree, plants blooming for the second time usually show a marked improvement of 15 to 20% over the 1st blooming. Good point.True.
Sometimes it takes a stronger plant in a second blooming to improve itself.
