Yes it took almost 2 months for this bud and almost 3 months now for the other bud next to it. Sighhh... patience is a virtue for this species.I enjoy this species. Mine is in bud now and is taking its sweet time to mature.
What an aptly fantastic description Musa. I might just name him 'Green Claws'!Your patience has payed off! That is a beauty. I love the green dorsal and especially the staminode with its dark green shadow and the form like the claws of a crustacean...
Big oops.Very nice. I bought a sangii and turned out to be this one
Big oops.
Was the flower nice? Did you get a replacement from seller?
Did you have pic of this bloom? I'm curious. It's was OK lol not what I was expecting lol.
No unfortunately the sulppiler decided to close up becuase of Brexit even though it was four before that happened. They reopended a couple of years go and I could be bothered then
How's yours doing?I like it! Great job Leslie! They are a slow species, no doubt
Not bad. Let's see next blooming. But like you said, not sangii lol.
I've got a new growth on the one I flowered last year, although still small, so likely no bloom this year. 3 other seedlings are doing well too. How's yours doing?
They are notoriously slow growers. I discovered that they like brighter light than most mottled leaves, very close to cattleya. Is yours also?I've got a new growth on the one I flowered last year, although still small, so likely no bloom this year. 3 other seedlings are doing well too.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll maybe try moving them to higher light! They are notoriously slow growers. I discovered that they like brighter light than most mottled leaves, very close to cattleya. Is yours also?
