Indeed Darlene, and yours is the real one, without these few black dots on the centre of the petals. Lovely !....... They are so unique looking that they are hard to resist.
I understand it may not be an alba technically speaking but I'm very fond of that "variety" of alba--a little bit of yellow on the petals and a few black dots..... and I would love to have one if I can find it.Indeed Darlene, and yours is the real one, without these few black dots on the centre of the petals. Lovely !
I am really into species from the Barbata section...most of them are easy and small/medium in size. I"ve added at least six species from this section for the last 2 months. Thanks, Tom. I really like this clone. Venustum took a while to grow on me. They are so unique looking that they are hard to resist.
It is possible, Darlene. I hope you will get one with some yellow on the petal and on the pouch if you do like that "variety".The two unbloomed siblings of this clone have slightly darker leaves. I am curious to see if the leaf color translates to any differences in the flower. Maybe a more yellow color?
