Paphiopedilum villosum

First time flowering of this plant, that I bought as P. villosum var. amboinense. I've never seen that variety described? And with Amboin being a city on Papua New Guinea (the only Amboin, at least, that I have succeeded in tracking down), I wonder, whether it isn't a bit out of sorts?NS: 8 cm

Stephen, that was also in my thoughts, although the spelling here is Ambon? And I think, we are still a wee bit away from the described habitat of P. villosum to really feel at ease with the geography: Ambon - Wikipedia, den frie encyklopædi versus Paphiopedilum villosum
