It's beautiful. I love these. I have two that are in spike, but no fat buds yet.

Lovely photo Dot. I see very little difference. My violacea
alba is blooming now and I don't see much that is different...maybe fragrance? Mine has a very strong citrus
top note.

Love it! You even take fabulous iPhone photos Dot.

My normal coloured bellina just popped out a fat new spike.....looking forward to it. Would love an alba too!

There are many Phal Penang Violacea and its progeny sold as Phal violacea Alba today.
It's hard to find a true Phal bellina alba you cannot identify by flower shape alone.
I know there are suppliers that sold Phal violacea Alba hybrid as Phal bellina Alba just to sell them.

If it's a true Phal bellina Alba. You maybe able to tell the floral scent to be sweeter than spicy cinnamon of a Phal violacea Alba. However. Sense of smell is subjective and you could just have a hybrid that smells different.

The real test is to self the flower and bloom a bunch to see if it's true.

The scent is definitely different, however, I'm don't have
the sensitive nose to pick up middle note and bottom note
of a fragrance. Dot, can you detect the top note of your
bellina?

I'll have to check again, but I thought I detected citrus.
