Nice healthy plants with tons of flowers, Angela! That's a pretty rare species in the US, isn't it? It is difficult to see from the photo, but it looks like it is lower altitude variety (with wider petals). I think lower altitude variety is even rarer. Would you mind of selfing it and sending it to Troy Meyers?

Very attractive blooms on a well grown plant. Well done Angela. If you do self it, please keep a bit of seed for me, I would love to grow a few flasks of this.

I will give it a go in the spring. The fim. blooms profusely, but only once
in the spring. I've only tried one selfing and it was a bomb. These flowers
are quite small. Gary, might you suggest using a toothpick or a small brush? Nurse me along on this when it's time and you can have
all the seeds.

naoki, I've never seen another one anywhere and I got it from Dwayne Dowery in a
shipment he received from his Malay connection and emailed me about it. He didn't
get many of them. For all I know it may be quite common in its native habitat.

I really, really miss Dwayne and hope he is well. Has anyone heard anything about
him since he closed his business?

I have always found a toothpick to work well. I cut the tip a bit flatter to make it easier to apply the pollen. If the pollen is dry and crumbly I wet the toothpick with a bit of medicinal grade glycerol (it helps the pollen stick if it is a bit dry)
