A first time bloomer-always wanted one. I just love the fragrance :D.

That's a really sweet flower. Is it sequential or are there more buds to open?

Thank you. It is a sequential bloomer. It has 2 spikes and this is the second flower on one of the spikes. The other spike had 2 flowers and might produce more. The plant is busy producing a new leaf and some new roots too, so may slow on the blooming.

Thanks, Susan. I'd like to see a photo of the whole plant with both spikes, if you can.

Here is the whole plant. I am using pieces of styrofoam peanuts to keep the spikes from going into the medium.

looks nice. that's one of the problems I had with javanica. I had a nice plant, but when it got to flowering size and the stems were going into the media I tried a fancy way of repotting it, and then it dried out too many times and died. :( If I had left it in the pot the spikes would've been confused but at least the plant would still be alive (maybe)

I want to try this species, if I can find a plant. I'm terribly intrigued by the fragrance. I think it would grow best mounted as the spikes tend to dive into the media if the plant is potted.
