Phalaenopsis schilleriana

I bought this in bloom at the Dresden show in March last year.
It is in bloom again slightly early.
I usually get Phalaenopsis flowers evenly on the same plane so that it’s easy to take photos from one angle and still get most flowers facing the same direction. Oh, well, not this time.
This particular clone has such strong rose scent that can be detected a few feet away from it. Hopefully more flowers in the future!

That is VERY dark, rich color and the extremely rounded leaves are surprising to me.

How small are your seedlings? They can be very slow growing while small. I once had a couple of seedlings from (rather not share) and they were very slow growing. The breeder told me about that, so I was aware of it ahead of time.
These newer line bred ones are not very slow and they start to flower while still quite small.

I don't do anything special. I have tried a few from different lines over the years and never thought they were hard to grow & bloom in a sense that they would grow 2-3 leaves a year and bloom around late winter into early spring every year.

This particular plant is still in tight moss ball in its clear plastic film like container that it came in. This setup can stay too wet for too long and I meant to repot it shortly after the flowers dropped off last year, but I just never got to it.
So this year's goal is to repot this poor guy into more open mix and in a larger pot, probably 4inch pot so I wouldn't have to repot again in the next few years.

The biggest leave is around 5 inches , I have new growth, potted in mix bark perlite, at the top a little sphagnum moss. I remembered that that mix was ready for paphs, from Deutch breeder. So, probably is limed…akerne / msu fert.

Phal. schilleriana is such a lovely species not only due to the flowers but also due to the mottled leaves and the scent and yours is an extraordinarily intensely coloured one.

Here is Phalaenopsis schilleriana 'Wilson' I bought at the Santa Barbara 2 years ago. This is the first time it bloomed. I grow under LED lights.

Depending on the breeding line and individual plants' traits, I think yours can bloom at the current size.
I bought mine when the largest leaf was 4-5inches long in bloom and there were even smaller plants in bloom in the same box I picked mine from!
You can use pretty much just about any mix for any orchids in general. You just have to make sure that the plants get enough water (or not too much water) depending on your growing conditions and the amount of the roots on the plants.
