I just have to ask if it's really that red IRL or if the picture might be slightly oversaturated. I'm only asking because it actually hurts my eyes to look at the flower. :rollhappy:
 
Thanks everybody! The color really was flaming red, the photo was the best I could do with my iPhone.

It seems cameras in general have problem with red colours, especially really saturated ones. Or at least all cameras I've experience with. I had a red hibiscus earlier and my camera couldn't even focus on the flower...
 
Same, deep reds, yellow white and red/purple my camera has problems with and if you try to underexposed and then lighten, the image ends up having more 'white' mixed in than is really there
