I have two of these, so I am adding numbers to keep track of which on is which.

One of the flowers is a much better shape. I wonder did the plant get a bit dry while the second flower was opening.

Amazing! It looks like a monster-sized plant or is that just an optical illusion? Very nice color on this. I like both versions of the flowers. The one that's not as flat has very pleasing undulations in my opinion.

One thing I'd love to see if this general line of breeding is if breeders could get some yellow into the staminode and underneath the spots on the lip without too much compromise on the flower size and rich flower color.

Beautifully grown! What was your source for your plants? After others have posted in the forum with some deep red clones from Ecuagenera, I picked a few up this past year and looking forward to blooming them out.

That would be lovely indeed. What would you think could achieve that?

It is not huge. It is trying to escape a quart soup container. So, it is rather manageable compared to some of my other kovachii crosses. The other YM is significantly larger and in a taller 6-8 inch nursery pot.

This one is from Ecuagenera. I am not sure about the other one. It came to me from a friend.
